Foresight in Practice
Tuesday 3rd August 2004
Workshop Outputs will be Posted Here Soon
During this workshop we heard about a real life foresight engagement. This was an opportunity to find out what happened in a successful process, what the client wanted and how this was eventually delivered. It was also a way of trying a couple of new foresight methods/processes which you may wish to use again in the future.
The workshop was facilitated by Rowena Morrow and was in three parts:
Getting Ready
What happened from the point of being notified about the opportunity
The conception of the process
The exploratory and clarifying questions that were asked of the client
How these led to the design of the foresight process
What happened during the process
An overview of what happened during the process
How it went - reactions, feedback, what worked and what didn't.
Practice and debrief
The group will go through a short process which will illustrate a method that was developed for this workshop
Discussion and debrief - general comments and reflection on how this might relate to other foresight work
